A new attack on the combination generator.
by Yann Laigle-Chapuy from INRIA Rocquencourt
Abstract: In this talk, I will present a new cryptanalysis of the combination
generator. This simple model of stream cipher is one of the most studied, and there
exists many different attacks, especially correlation and fast
correlation attacks. Even if our attack is based on the same ideas than
correlation attacks, we exploit a slightly different property and this
allow us to require very few criteria from the filtering function,
namely the resiliency is irrelevant in our analysis. This joint work
with Frédéric Didier was founded by the Celar.
