Technical Requirements for the Software Vulnerabilities lab

For the lab sessions of the software vulnerability course you will need the following resources:

1) a C compiler (e.g., gcc or clang or tcc or etc.)

• If you have a Linux or MacOS environment, you should be able to access a C compiler from a terminal (e.g., try the command gcc within a terminal).

• If you have a Windows environment you could use one of the following solutions:

• install Cygwin

• use the Linux subsystem available on Windows 10

• install tcc for Windows.

• Another option (whatever your environment is) it to upload the virtual machine (for VirtualBox) available on this link:

2) Optionally the free version of IDA Pro (not mandatory ...):
